Baseball Bakes

It's nearly the end of the baseball season and this is my penultimate bake for the boys! This week its an away game so I have sent my darling man off with a batch of Nutella muffins with a crunchy hazelnut topping!

I have decided I need to make something extra special to take to the next baseball game as it will determine the winning team of the season, so watch this space! Good luck Bristol Badgers!

My Teddy Bear

I previously posted this in colour but I think B&W works really well!

Self Portrait Continued....

I had a few hours to myself yesterday, so I decided to have a go at taking some more self-portraits. I wanted to include my beloved Ray Bans as they never fail to look cool, and I thought it would be cheeky and fun to muck around with some bubble gum. (For those of you who are wondering it was Strawberry flavoured Hubba Bubba)

I chose to wear a black cardi so it was match the black of the sunglasses and everything else would be tones of grey.

I desaturated and enhanced the contrast on his photo. (As it was just me, I had the camera on the self timer setting which meant this particular photo took several attempts to get right due to the bubble bursting before the shutter went down).

Me & my Teddy!

Lula Quotes

I've been getting stuck into my beloved Lula magazine and, as well as all the beautiful, surreal photography and gorgeous fashion, there are several quotes inside that I thought were worth sharing...

"I thought my night gowns were far prettier than any of my other dress and I insisted to wear them to the supermarket." Gabrielle Greiss

"Everybody should be not childish but they should be childlike." Iris Apfel

"I like to transform via my clothes. It is both a shield and a form of expression." Liz Goldwyn

Self Portrait - Part One

It suddenly dawned on me that I am never short of my own company, so I decided to use myself a subject and embark on a self portrait adventure! It is very much a 'work in progress' but I want to carry on and build on it, whilst exploring my camera and photographic techniques in the process.

Here's my part one....

'Me & Kate'

I know this one is slightly nuts, but I really like the way its turned out; slightly blurry and almost angle like with the bright white above the head like a halo.

Got lots of other self portrait ideas which I want to try out, sadly my day job is keeping me from experimenting.

Watch this space.......
